Why choose Pursuing Peace Coaching with Lauren Gibson?

At Pursuing Peace Coaching, we focus deeply on your thought life — because your thoughts shape your emotions, your relationships, and the direction of your life.

What makes my approach unique is the integration of two powerful foundations: the truth of the Gospel and the neuroscience research of the last few decades.

Scripture calls us to renew our minds, and modern neuroscience shows us how change is actually possible. God designed our brains with the ability to form new pathways — which means transformation isn’t just spiritual language, it’s biological reality.

In our work together, we don’t just talk about peace — we practice it. You’ll learn how to identify unhelpful thought patterns, retrain your brain with truth, and build habits that align with who God is calling you to be.

This is thoughtful, faith-centered, practical coaching for women who are ready to move forward with clarity and calm.

What is Life Coaching? How is it different from therapy?

Life coaching is a forward-focused partnership that helps you gain clarity, build healthy habits, and take intentional steps toward the life you want to live.  We may acknowledge and learn from your past, but our work centers on helping you move forward with confidence, purpose, and practical tools.

Therapy often focuses on healing the past and addressing present mental health concerns. Licensed therapists are trained to diagnose and treat mental illness.

If you’re not looking to dwell on your past but want to grow from it and take meaningful next steps, life coaching may be right for you.

Do I have to be a Christian to work with Lauren Gibson?

No, you do not have to be a Christian to work with me.While my own faith in Christ is foundational to who I am and naturally shapes my perspective, I work with women from a variety of backgrounds.

We will incorporate elements of the Christian faith — such as prayer or Scripture — only to the extent that you feel comfortable. That said, my coaching approach is rooted in biblical principles and the belief that renewing your mind leads to lasting peace.

If that framework resonates with you and feels supportive rather than restrictive, we may be a great fit.
